Dunlop was established as a company manufacturing goods from the rubber in 1889. The company entered the sporting goods market in 1910, when it began to manufacture rubber golf balls at its base in Birmingham.

The Dunlop brand has put its name towards many global events and products including introducing the Maxfli golf ball in 1922, sponsoring the Dunlop Masters golf tournament from 1946-1982 and it is currently the official supplier for all three clay court ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments.

More tennis grand slams have been won using Dunlop rackets than any other brands. Notable players that have used Dunlop tennis rackets in the past include Steffi Graf, John McEnroe, Amélie Mauresmo, Tomáš Berdych, Mardy Fish, Tommy Haas, Martina Navratilova, Marat Safin, James Blake and Jamie Murray.

The Dunlop “flying D” logo was introduced in 1960, and it remains one of the most iconic logos today, being proudly displayed on all products including the clothing lines that were birthed from the famous Dunlop sporting goods. The aim of the clothing is to match these versatile sporting goods durability and longevity whilst maintaining an air of slick design and innovation throughout.
